Jen Syme

Growing up in a agricultural family Jen always knew that agriculture would be her lifelong passion. She attended UConn College of Agriculture and obtained a B.S. in Horticulture/Plant Science. While there she met her future husband Bill who had a similar background and dreams. Together they have created Syme Family Farm that they are super proud of!

We are now growing our diverse crop plan on over 15 acres. Year by year we work at improving the farm. We have built from scratch and added two greenhouses, a High Tunnel, several cattle pastures and chicken coops, numerous expansive flower fields with working irrigation, a mum/annual patio pot field, our Christmas Tree plantation and our Home!

In the beginning

We are now entering our 18th year as a commercial cut flower grower. For our first 15 years in business we regularly attended two Farmers Markets per week and maintained a small CSA and self-serve stand. The markets served us well because it got our name out there and our flowers in our customers hands.

Look at us now

Our business has flourished and we now only sell from the Farm. We have grown to have hundreds of Flower CSA customers each year and a Sales Barn that customers can visit every season of the year.
